It seems that homework has been thrown to the wayside. The amount of homework coming in has declined. I have even been sending less home. It is so important that students read 20 minutes each night in order to become better readers. It is also important for students to learn the responsibility of doing homework and turning it in. I always send home stuff that needs to be practiced and remembered. So its not busy work, its important work.
